A new “Ruin Mode” trailer and the final box art for the upcoming Red Faction: Armageddon, have been recently released by THQ. The game developed by Volition is set to be released in May 2011 on XBOX360, PS3 and PC and promises to set new standards for game defining physics-weaponry in the shooter genre. The action takes place under the surface of the Mars in ice caves and lava tubes, fifty years after the resistance originally freed the red planet. The players, walking in the shoes of Darius Mason, will fight against a new horrifying evil that threatens to extinguish all life on the planet.

Dead Space 2, the survival horror developed by Visceral Games and published by Electronic Arts, was one of the most highly anticipated games of the last twelve months. After its release it sky-rocketed in top positions in software charts across the globe and in the UK alone it stood anchored in pole position for two consecutive weeks with competitors such as Call of Duty: Black Ops and Little Big Planet 2 at its heels. On July 20 2010 Electronic Arts announced a new project – Darkspore, a sci-fi action-RPG, designed by Thomas Vu and developed by Maxis that will feature a more advanced real-time character creation and editing than the one seen in Spore.

The game will have a full single-player campaign, but also the possibility to co-op with four other players, and PVP multiplayer Deathmatches that will allow one to test the heroes collected in normal gameplay against other player`s heroes. Pandorum falls in the large gap of mediocrity most movies nowadays do, leaving you with mixed feelings and with the impression that you haven’t completely wasted your time watching it, but you can’t put your finger on any of its features and call them brilliant. It’s common and easily forgotten.
