Memento Mori 2 Release Date Announced

Today, June 29, 2011, Lace Mamba Global, a Brighton-based publisher, announced that Memento Mori 2 – Guardian of Immortality, a cinematic point & click adventure game, is planned to be released for Q4 2011 in UK, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, Scandinavia, South Africa, Iceland and the Benelux countries.

The first game received only good critics from the press for its story, graphics and atmosphere. In Memento Mori 2, there will be 3 playable characters, two of these characters being Lara and Max, the protagonists from the first game. In Memento Mori 2, the duo is spending their honeymoon in South Africa, until Lara receives a phone call from the Interpol concerning a theft that took place in a museum in Cape Town. … More

Battlefield 3 Available On 25 October 2011

Total War: Shogun 2 Demo

Sega of America and SEGA Europe Ltd. announced that the demo of the next title in critically acclaimed series Total War, Total War: Shogun 2, will be released on Steam on February 22, 2011. The game is developed by The Creative Assembly and published by SEGA and it is set to be released on March 15, 2011. The demo that will be launched on February 22, 2011 will allow players to test their skills to some extent.

Shogun 2 returns to the 16th century Japan when every warlord is fighting to control the divided country with the sole goal to conquer the other parts and to assume total dominion over Japan. … More

Dungeon Siege III Release Date Announced

Earlier today Square Enix Ltd. announced that Dungeon Siege III, developed by Obsidian Entertainment, will be available in Europe and other PAL countries from May 27, 2011 on Sony PlayStation3, Microsoft XBOX360 and Windows PC. A limited edition of the game will also be available in the same countries exclusively by pre-order and will feature four unique in-game items available to activate on day of launch, enhancing and increasing your characters’ abilities as they venture forth through the Kingdom of Ehb.

Dead Space 2 Released

The sequel of the publicly acclaimed physiological thriller Dead Space, developed by Visceral Games, an EA studio, is now available in retail stores in the US and will be available in Europe starting with the 28th of January on PS3, XBOX360 and PC. The Dead Space 2 Limited Edition for PlayStation 3 will include Dead Space Extraction, the prequel to the entire Dead Space saga, now featuring support for the PlayStation®Move motion controller. World of Warcraft Revisited

There isn’t much happening on the MMOG market at the moment. There are a few new titles under the consumer’s magnifying glass and the ones released in last two years are still gathering under their banners a decent amount of subscribers. But overall there is nothing out there that has the chance of becoming the next big popular thing. Warhammer Online is a bitter-sweet memory, Aion is as bad as it was hyped and Star Trek Online will probably be assaulted by a large number of trekkies, but has failed so far to impress anyone else. Of course, there is always EVE with its share of fanatic supporters willing to constantly bash any other MMOG while hiding inside a shroud of elitist arguments and constantly turning a blind eye to the game’s large amount of flaws and lack of accessibility. Final Fantasy XIII release date announced

The game will be released simultaneously on PS3 and Xbox360, in both Europe and North America, on the 9th of March 2010. The announcement came from Square Enix Ltd. on the November 13, 2009. It was also mentioned that the multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter Leona Lewis has come on board with Square Enix to provide the theme song for Final Fantasy XIII. The song is entitled “My Hands,” and is featured on her highly-anticipated second album ECHO (J Records/Syco Music) set for release on November 16th. As a side note: I listened to the song and I can honestly say I couldn’t have imagined a more common and boring succession of sounds as the one provided by this so called artist I have never heard of before.
