Today the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences picked 2010’s winners. Read Dead Redemption, the open-world western shooter developed by Rockstar was this edition’s top dog, taking home no less than 5 AIAS awards: action game, art direction, game direction, character performance and gameplay engineering. Dragon Age II Demo Announced

Dragon Age II, the sequel to the triple-platinum-selling, “RPG of the year”, Dragon Age: Origins, is set to be released on PS3, XBOX360 and PC on March 11, 2011. The game developed by Bioware promises to revolutionize the genre all over again with more dynamic storytelling, a faster more responsive combat system, and action packed adventure. Dragon Age 2 traces the rise to power of Hawke, a survivor of the Blight and a hero who will transform the face of the Dragon Age universe forever.

Dungeon Siege III Release Date Announced

Earlier today Square Enix Ltd. announced that Dungeon Siege III, developed by Obsidian Entertainment, will be available in Europe and other PAL countries from May 27, 2011 on Sony PlayStation3, Microsoft XBOX360 and Windows PC. A limited edition of the game will also be available in the same countries exclusively by pre-order and will feature four unique in-game items available to activate on day of launch, enhancing and increasing your characters’ abilities as they venture forth through the Kingdom of Ehb.

Red Faction Armageddon New Trailer and HD Concept Art

A new trailer and a new concept art set for the upcoming Red Faction: Armageddon, game developed by Volition and published by THQ, have recently surfaced. The new installment in the Sci-Fi franchise is set to be released in May 2011 on XBOX360, PS3 and PC promises to set new standards for game defining physics-weaponry in the shooter genre. The action takes place under the surface of the Mars in ice caves and lava tubes, fifty years after the resistance originally freed the red planet. Majesty 2 Review

A sequel to the original installment released in 2000 is finally out. If there were prizes given out for originality and innovative design, I’m sure the Majesty series would at least be mentioned as a nominee. Nowadays it’s hard to find a game that attempts to offer something new and if that game is an RTS then the surprise is many times bigger than in the case of other games genre. That’s because the first thing that comes to mind when mimicking strategic warfare in games is that you can’t improve something that has its current form based on centuries of evolution and development. The Saboteur Review

Do you know what happens when mix all the colors together? Basically nothing, you just get an unimpressive grayish brown that can only be used to describe dirt. And this is exactly what happened to The Saboteur, a game developed by Pandemic Studios and published by EA: they took everything good out there and threw into a blender hoping for a magical result. Unfortunately what came out was not a rainbow, but an abomination that feeds on gamers’ fears.

The first thing that drew my attention was the name.  Saboteur – a game I loved back in the days when Commodore was the tip of the technological iceberg and two-frame animations were acceptable.
