Dragon Age: Origins – Review

Posted by admin on Thursday, November 26th, 2009

At the beginning of this month Bioware released its latest fantasy RPG for both PC and consoles, and ever since then it’s been raining roses, praises and applause. We’ve invested a few days of gameplay into it to find that out for you.

The character customization section that you will need to go through at the beginning of the game is decent enough and there is a pretty good variety of elements you can mix together in attempting to create something to suit your tastes. But don’t expect it to be extraordinary, because it’s far from it: you can create something… humanoid, but don’t try to create a character that looks, walks and talks just like you because you’ll be wasting your time. … More

Strain left NCSoft last summer (we hear a roar of applauses in the background) with the declared goal of building from the ground up, together with a few of the most talented developers, a creative studio that targets a new breed of MMO for console gamers. … More

Run for your life

Posted by admin on Sunday, November 22nd, 2009

I wanted to tackle this subject in writing for quite a while, but I just couldn’t find the spark to trigger it. That was until Friday evening when I stumbled upon a press release about a Yoga game being launched for Wii at the end of the month. But the text emphasized on how you can relax your body, calm your mind and achieve physical and inner balance right in your living room. For me that last part triggered an episode of nervous laughter, muscles spasms and the urge to smash something. First, because I was already in my living room, calm, relaxed and balanced until that piece of news came and ruined it for me. Second, because I consider that all forms of physical exercises should have nothing to do with electronics such a TVs and plastic white boxes that dare to call themselves gaming consoles … More

Final Fantasy XIII release date announced

Posted by admin on Sunday, November 15th, 2009

The game will be released simultaneously on PS3 and Xbox360, in both Europe and North America, on the 9th of March 2010. The announcement came from Square Enix Ltd. on the November 13, 2009. It was also mentioned that the multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter Leona Lewis has come on board with Square Enix to provide the theme song for Final Fantasy XIII. The song is entitled “My Hands,” and is featured on her highly-anticipated second album ECHO (J Records/Syco Music) set for release on November 16th. As a side note: I listened to the song and I can honestly say I couldn’t have imagined a more common and boring succession of sounds as the one provided by this so called artist I have never heard of before. But maybe it’s just me… … More
