The last year was one of turmoil for Frogster, the Berlin-based company widely known for the F2P (free to play) MMORPG Runes of Magic (RoM). Frogster, the developer of highly popular F2P (free to play) MMORPG Runes of Magic (RoM), was recently the target of a hacker attack that allegedly compromised thousands of accounts for its flagship product. Following this attack, the hacker, publicly known under the nickname Augustus87, released his demands which mostly focused on improving customer support and forum control for RoM, threatening that if they are met numerous account details will be made public. To back up his claims Augustus87 already released the details of 2000 users.  Frogster’s immediate response suggested that the data released was from 2007, before the release of Runes of Magic. However access, forum privileges and account settings for the 2000 compromised accounts, have been revoked to “protect the affected players.” … More

A new trailer and a new concept art set for the upcoming Red Faction: Armageddon, game developed by Volition and published by THQ, have recently surfaced. The new installment in the Sci-Fi franchise is set to be released in May 2011 on XBOX360, PS3 and PC promises to set new standards for game defining physics-weaponry in the shooter genre. The action takes place under the surface of the Mars in ice caves and lava tubes, fifty years after the resistance originally freed the red planet. The players, walking in the shoes of Darius Mason, will fight against a new horrifying evil that threatens to extinguish all life on the planet.

On the 18^th of January 2011 Ubisoft announced that the Animus Project Update 2.0 DLC (downloadable content) for Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood is now available for free for the XBOX360 on the XBOX LIVE network and for the PS3 from PSN. The update comes to enrich the Brotherhood’s multiplayer with a brand new map and a new game mode. The first DLC pack was released in December last year and it also featured a new map together with a new game mode. Ever since I saw Oliver Stone’s Any Given Sunday I thought I will never ever see a better movie about football and the truth is I still haven’t, the champion is still unchallenged. I am mentioning this because I did expect The Blind Side to be another hundred minutes of tackles, both on and outside the pitch, another movie that glorifies what is in fact just a mutant form of rugby, another mix of pain, sweat and tears. To my surprise The Blind Side is nowhere near that definition. The mix is there, but this time it’s about a much violent sport: life.
