Dark Fall: Lost Souls – Teaser Trailer
Posted by Seth Lex onHave you seen this girl, the new teaser trailer released by Iceberg Interactive today, comes to celebrate the global direct download launch of the game on various portals such as GamersGate and Impulse. The box versions of the game can still be preordered from Iceberg webshop and they will be shipped out early next week with the UK retail release date on the 11th.
In my opinion the story behind the trailer is many times more impressive than the actual footage to say the least, but a picture is worth a thousand words (or so they say) so a film must be worth a gazillion words. Here is the story and I’ll let you decide for yourself the truth value of that statement:
The young girl disappeared on her 11th Birthday, after being expelled from school. The Head Mistress of Saint Swithin’s School for Girls thought her a bad influence on the other girls, and she frightened her teachers with macabre drawings and an unhealthy interest in the dead! Amy then vanished, never to be seen again…until Bonfire Night, when The Inspector goes looking for her…
If you forgot what Dark Fall is, let me refresh your memory with some facts. The Dark Fall series stands for puzzle adventures with a horror twist. Lost Souls is its 3rd installment, following in the footsteps of The Journal and Lights Out. The first Dark Fall game saw the light of day on July 25, 2003.
Here are some of the features Lost Souls takes pride in:
A brand new (and final) Dark Fall horror adventure.
From the pen of Jonathan Boakes, author of The Lost Crown.
Explore a derelict train station & hotel, abandoned since World War 2.
A new game engine allows full exploration and movement.
Physically interact with the eerie setting, to really ‘feel’ the place.
Use light as your weapon and ally, to fight the darkness.
Use Detective skills to solve an urban mystery.
A hauntingly creepy stereo score that will chill and terrify.
Explore the memories of the dead, in their own ‘nightmares’.
Discover the true identity and power behind the Dark Fall itself.
