Remember Me Review

Posted by admin on Monday, June 28th, 2010

Whatever you do in life will be insignificant…

Remember Me is the story of Tyler Hawkings (Robert Pattinson), a young man struggling to find meaning in his life after his family has been torn apart by the tragedy of his brother’s suicide. He chooses to lead a bohemian existence and refuses any kind of support coming from his wealthy father (Pierce Brosnan), who carries in Tyler’s opinion most of the blame for his brother’s death. His life suddenly changes when he meets Ally (Emilie de Ravin), a girl who resonates with his feelings and peculiar behavior. Unplanned and unexpected, the relationship between them flourishes as they fall in love with each other, and offers Tyler the very thing that he was missing and desperately searching for. Remember Me is all about a rainbow of human emotions. It’s about having bonds so … More

The Blind Side Review

Posted by admin on Monday, April 19th, 2010

Ever since I saw Oliver Stone’s Any Given Sunday I thought I will never ever see a better movie about football and the truth is I still haven’t, the champion is still unchallenged. I am mentioning this because I did expect The Blind Side to be another hundred minutes of tackles, both on and outside the pitch, another movie that glorifies what is in fact just a mutant form of rugby, another mix of pain, sweat and tears. To my surprise The Blind Side is nowhere near that definition. The mix is there, but this time it’s about a much violent sport: life.

Final Fantasy XIII Review

Posted by admin on Monday, March 29th, 2010

Final Fantasy is one of the oldest IPs in the industry and over the years its rich JPRG content has been constantly enhanced with each new installment. Whether it was the combat system, the way the characters developed or simply the beautiful story that held everything together in perfect harmony, a FF game always came with the underlined promise of progress, of taking the whole series one step further on the evolutionary ladder. So it comes as a surprise and not a pleasant one to see the game not following its own rules and going for a simpler and accessible approach, especially for a debut on the PS3 and Xbox360 consoles that has been anticipated by fans for so many years. … More

World of Warcraft Revisited

Posted by admin on Sunday, March 14th, 2010

There isn’t much happening on the MMOG market at the moment. There are a few new titles under the consumer’s magnifying glass and the ones released in last two years are still gathering under their banners a decent amount of subscribers. But overall there is nothing out there that has the chance of becoming the next big popular thing. Warhammer Online is a bitter-sweet memory, Aion is as bad as it was hyped and Star Trek Online will probably be assaulted by a large number of trekkies, but has failed so far to impress anyone else. Of course, there is always EVE with its share of fanatic supporters willing to constantly bash any other MMOG while hiding inside a shroud of elitist arguments and constantly turning a blind eye to the game’s large amount of flaws and lack of accessibility. So, with my choices highly limited, I decided to revisit World of Warcraft … More

Everybody is a critic!

Posted by admin on Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

Don’t take my word for it, look around you: regardless of your field of interest, there are more people tossing around opinions then there are those with original ideas. And that’s not bad, it’s actually quite good. We fought so hard and for so many years for freedom of speech it would be a shame not to exercise it just because any individual with a brain the size of peanut can benefit from it also. The internet boosted our voices to a super power level and now everyone with a keyboard and a decent ISP can share his thoughts with the world. There are no more age, gender or race boundaries we need to overcome in order to be heard. We tore those walls down brick by brick or all at once with a large enough quantity of dynamite and now we are enjoying the infinite possibilities provided by such freedom. Hurray for us! … More
